FM 7.1 (p116) running on XP Symbol characters appear as blank spaces, small boxes, or wrong characters when they are imported as OLE objects into anchored frames OLE (from Visio or Mathtype). The symbol characters appear correctly in the host application when the file is opened from FrameMaker, but disappear as soon as the image is back in the anchored frame.
Symbol works correctly in FrameMaker when it is applied as a Character Format in the body text. The graphics being are being produced in Visio on the same computer with the same fonts as FrameMaker is using. Any ideas why the symbol characters disappear in anchored frames only? Has anyone else experienced and/or solved this problem? Thanks, Ted Poulos
