Actually, her concept is sound. Use the "binary method" to track down the
problem.
Output the first half of the book see if there are problems.
Do same for second half. 
Keep dividing sections in half and test each section until problem(s) can be
identified.

For the record, I don't think this suggestion is going to be very helpful in
the case at hand.

Judy is talking about a book with 2400 pages and roughly 100 component FM
files. And the problem occurs at the 89th *file* not the 89th page.
