Jonathan, Perhaps the film-historical reference that would be a bit more polite would be "Uncle Josh," referencing "Uncle Josh at the Moving Picture Show." Unless, of course, you believe that Uncle Josh is a "hayseed," as suggested by the British original, "The Countryman and the Cinematograph." Jim K.
