There is a man in Italy that offers a sound-striping service for super8 and 16mm films. (See this thread in German<https://www.filmvorfuehrer.de/topic/29618-16mm-randspur/>) and here are his contact details.
Alberto Vangelisti [email protected] And that information comes from a list you can view here. https://www.super8.tv/de/service-category/services-de/bespurung/ Frank Den Haag ________________________________ Van: Frameworks <[email protected]> namens Scott Stark <[email protected]> Verzonden: donderdag 23 november 2023 18:31 Aan: Experimental Film Discussion List <[email protected]> Onderwerp: Re: [Frameworks] New Kodak super-8 camera One thing that occurs to me is that despite the fact that the camera has sound capabilities, I don’t know of any way to project the film with sound, unless there’s some clever double projection system out there - or there are still sound-striping services hidden away somewhere. Otherwise this seems like S8 as another interim format for digital, which is where we are today. But I don't see how it helps your point about the lack of competent repair techs. When it breaks, as it will because mechanical things break, who will fix it? With the new camera we will continue to have the same issue that existed with the old camera. --scott -- Frameworks mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> https://mail.film-gallery.org/mailman/listinfo/frameworks_film-gallery.org -- Frameworks mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> https://mail.film-gallery.org/mailman/listinfo/frameworks_film-gallery.org -- Frameworks mailing list [email protected] https://mail.film-gallery.org/mailman/listinfo/frameworks_film-gallery.org
