In 2008, Filmmaker Lawrence Brose was arrested by the FBI and charged with downloading child pornography from a German website. The charges also include 100 exhibition prints from his film De Profundis, though the film does not contain images that fit the description of 18 USC § 1466A, the law he is being charged under. If convicted, he faces a lengthy prison sentence and lifelong sex offender status.
