Post mail doesn't get pass through x-rays, so you shouldn't be worried about
that.
According to airport´s x-ray notification, only film faster than 500ASA should
not be run through those machines.
anyway, this question pops up here every now and then, so the archives could
have a more extensive answer to it.
best wishes,pablo.

If I send film through the US Postal System will it be x-rayed? is x-raying
film really that bad for it? Doesn't it depend on the speed of the film. If it
is a low speed like 100 or 6 (hi-con) will it really affect it!!?

An 80B filter will take a 3200K lamp and give you about 6000K light,

which will mostly match daylight sort of most of the time.

It is easier and cheaper to put a filter on the lens rather than gel

all the lights, if you don't have any daylight sources in the shot

that have to be matched to the lights.

It's easier just to use tungsten film most of the time since you don't

take the light loss through the filter.

For our subscribers who have been expecting their copy of MFJ 56:

Our offices in Chelsea New York are without electricity and the local post
office is closed. But the journals have arrived and are safe and dry in boxes
in the studio. We expect to get the shipment out next week.

Sorry for the delay!
