For what it's worth, my Hackintosh has been my workhorse for video almost two years now. Updating to Mavericks and switching (BACK!) to FCP from Premiere are proving very trying, but at least I can try a new graphics card instead of having to buy a whole new (non-hackable, non-upgradeable) machine at apple pri$e to see if it makes things happy again.
