Follow-up Comment #8, bug #20411 (project freeciv):
Surely they are the same bug.
As I told in first post, it only happens with in the Linux Mint 14 partition
(I use default installation for all settings of Linux Mint 14 Mate).
I don't get that weird graphics with Ubuntu 12.04, and never got them in many
previous versions of Mint or Ubuntu.
