Follow-up Comment #25, bug #21851 (project freeciv):

When I first reported this problem, I tested both available themes (default
and oxygen) and I noticed similar memory problems, as I said in a previous
post. But I think there are different causes of memory leak here.

The problem while scrolling the dropdown menu is reduced a bit when I use
freeciv default theme, I think because the items are sorted in 3 columns, and
there is less room to scroll. The memory leak is still very noticeable
though.

I have tested different tilesets just in case, and there is no difference when
I use trident, isotrident or amplio2.

I'm testing now to play without using this problematic menu, and the leak is
much more subtle now, but I keep seing that the memory usage grows while I
play, I'll keep testing to detect the exact triggers.

Anyway, thank you for the help, at least now I know how to avoid the worst
effects.
