Follow-up Comment #1, bug #24359 (project freeciv):
I can-t reproduce with Qt-client compiled from our (upstream) sources on
Stretch.
Also, the file that according to the report is being created (QtProject.conf)
in to that "$HOME" isn't anything our code is (directly) trying to save.
