Abd Al-Rhman you make a good point. You work in a commercial setting as an admin, the customer is paying for infra or it's being charged for by the company. Here is some indicative technical data read --- HDD 080 Mb/s SSD 200 Mb/s M.2 5,000 Mb/s write --- HDD 160 Mb/s SSD 550 Mb/s M.2 5,000 Mb/s SSD is 3x a HDD and an M.2 will be more than 10x an HDD. The above data is for raw performance. HDD have excellent data recovery operations support in case it fails compared to the other two. That's matters a lot to me ! My recommendation targets 'free software' hackers who want to build a high-performance rig at their home and at the sametime take advantage of cost while trading off some disk performance. So, buy SATA II HDD 7200RPM or less with 'CMR' for your ArchLinux setup at home. warm regards Saifi.
