What a sage comment. I don't work with people that make gutter comments like that. You say this about me, yet you know full well that I re-wrote the entire help html files -- with only a few of developers providing files for their programs. Wonder why the development of the html has slowed down? Because I'm sick of developers who write code and don't bother submitting documentation for the help command. Why am I expected to know everything, and keep files up-to-date, for an actively developed, entire operating system? How many times have I asked on these lists for assistance? Sure, most programs only need one developer, but large projects like the kernel and command.com have many developers. How many people work on the help file system? One less. I resign as maintainer of the help system. It is only fair, as I must be honest I've pretty much given up trying to keep on top things. Life is too short. I suppose maybe you are right after all Tom, I haven't been tending to my duties. I'm tired. I'm sure someone with more time and enthusiasm can take the help project much further. I've just reached that limit where I couldn't care anymore. And that isn't fair on FreeDOS. Well, the help program, that still needs to be re-written from the ground up. There is a bug somewhere that seems to cause help it to crash when HIMEM is loaded. Maybe you could roll back a few versions, whatever. Maybe you could return to Joe Cosentino's last version, but beware that that had even more bugs, no memory management (it used the stack for browsing links!) and little in the way of a keyboard user interface. As for the help files, just remember Joe's help file set that stole work from MS-DOS Help. Now THAT was a copyright breach, Tom. ___________________________________________________________ALL-NEW Yahoo!
