'crash without any warning' means Memtest.exe doesn't quit by itself (hey, XMS detected, now I cannot start!) but just starts and plain crashes. End user is thus forced to think himself of 'hey, maybe this program does not like XMS driver being loaded!'

A message 'Please load Memtest without any drivers loaded in advance' would be much better as an error message.

Better yet would be to scribble over anything which gets in the way and work without error message failures.

However, wouldn't this thing work better for you as a CONFIG.SYS device driver than an EXE? Then you don't have to worry about loading all that extraneous crap first?

By the way, if I'm not around the next few days, then the World of Warcraft account server finally works and I'm playing this MMORPG :)

Yeah, well if you see my nephew on there, take it easy on him as he's just a kid. You'll surely recognize him amongst the small crowd of a few hundred thousand. I'll tell him to wear vermilion pantaloons with a chartreuse demon print.
