> 1755: INSTALL?: Problem when booting, possibly metakern involved (?) I have had a problem that sounds like this, except it is a sys problem and has nothing to do with install or metakern. SYS seems to create a FAT16 bootsector for my FAT32 drive; the Win98 SYS works fine, but even creating a regular FreeDOS bootsector with FreeDOS SYS results in a non-working bootsector (just a blinking cursor at the top of the screen on boot)
> 1854: Kernel: TurboC++ fails to run I doubt that this is still valid, as many people use Turbo C++. > 1900: FreeCOM: Out of memory loading STRINGS Someone on IRC reported once having this problem, but says he hasn't seen it in a long time. I would say that this could be closed, and that it it is probably a 0.83 bug (fixed in 0.84pre, which seems to be better in every way anyways). ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
