by cpu do you mean Intel thread or AMD core? or are you talking HPC servers 
that have multiple CPUs each with multiple cores each with multiple threads?

I am still trying to figure out what a NUMA node is... I should google it 
sometime, found it in my environment vars in windows. I still think a multicore 
freedos would be cool. alt-F1..alt-F12 like in linux to switch terminals, would 
have to switch graphics too, but I guess you need graphics drivers for that? 
ouch...

by boot proc I assume you mean boot thread. windows treats them as processors.
