Hoi Maarten,

I guess between the lines you wanted to suggest to
make kernel.sys and the fdos directory read-only or
system or hidden or similar? As far as I remember,
this was the case for kernel but NOT anything else
in MS DOS, so you could also rename or delete the
DOS directory and files like command.com there.

In Windows, they added some warning message inside
32- and 64-bit Windows versions when you even try
to LOOK at the Windows directory. Which annoys me.

Being from the open source / Linux corner of the
operating system world, I rely on users to know
what they are doing. If they rename files, they
will have to update things which point to them,
such as their autoexec :-)

I am curious what others here think about this :-)

PS: Microwave is a long file name. microwav.e is
a possibility but dir names with dots are weird.
