I do not disagree. Only want to point out it is an option. Not saying we would 
do it. Only that it should be considered and possible discarded as a solution.

If some standard was used during the creation of the individual project wikis, 
It would not be difficult to cross-link them to provide a (more or less) 
seamless site.

I don’t understand the point you are trying to make about integrating with the 
FreeDOS website. 

Unless everything is running on the same CMS, issues (like dead links) will 
crop up. But for the most part, perma-links and standardizing page names would 
take care of most of that.

You don’t pay for advanced features when self-hosted. 

But it is something that would require actively maintaining. Keeping up with 
updates and security patches. And it is possibly that required features could 
go away in future updates. Which of course could require migrating to a better 
solution.

But regardless of the solution that is chosen, any 3rd party project may change 
and force another migration.

I haven’t looked at Gitea. I’ll have to check it out.
