I was thinking about the wiki being recognized as part of the FreeDOS website, integrating nicely into its layout. If hosted at Gitlab, the user might get the feeling of being "navigated away" from the FreeDOS website and getting confused.

You don’t pay for advanced features when self-hosted.

I know some time ago this was true. Is this still valid? I maybe wrong, but the pricing model on their website now indicates the opposite: https://about.gitlab.com/pricing/

I haven’t looked at Gitea. I’ll have to check it out.

On your local machine you will get it running within five minutes :-)
