Hi!
To get the discussion a bit more productive again:
https://www.bttr-software.de/forum/board_entry.php?id=21046&page=0&order=time&category=0
is the original thread and apparently RayeR has used Borland C
to compile a fixed binary which Fritz has received and tested?
So the ONLY thing missing seems to be putting everything into
a ZIP (yeah, no .ZOO) file in the usual FreeDOS structure, as
has happened with my RUNTIME recently thanks to some support,
help and contributions from Vacek and Jerome :-)
The patch fixing ZOO involves changing "int" to "unsigned long"
in 4 lines of the ZOO source code, spread over 3 different files,
provided by RINGDING, who also offered a Turbo C++ build here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XRexqJvbKvNwRNPlAhvIEF1Toee_Cbtt/view?usp=sharing
Apparently people somehow failed to come to a conclusion which
version of ZOO to package under which license in January 2024.
Yet, for me, that does NOT sound like a reason to drop the whole
package from our collection. Even if "nobody" uses ZOO :-p I mean
barely anybody uses RUNTIME, either. But it is nice to have :-)
Regards, Eric
PS: There are some newer bug reports from Paul Dufresne on gitlab,
regarding packages such as upx, label, rcal and wing. Any news here?
