Will vbados be in FDT2410? Or is there no decision till now?
Sorry for nerving you, but I think it will make work easier, especially as virtualbox is one of the simple to handle vms, so I assume that many newbies will use it for testing.
Not for T2410.
However when T2410 is released on the 1st, it will be very different from T2409.
Basically, everything on the LiveCD/LegacyCD will get installed when FULL is selected. That is all packages supplied with the release that are not on the BonusCD. The BonusCD contains the packages that have been classified under the BOOT, DEVEL and GUI groups.
Once it is available, we should start discussing what packages are provided on the install media.
I think a lot of the duplicate functionality stuff should be relegated to download only and removed from the LiveCD.
For instance, I don’t think we need all of those Web Browsers.
Also, we really don’t need PING, PICOSNTP and a few others when mTCP is provided.
Do we really want to install three or four disk partitioning programs.
Etc.
That would be a great time to discuss adding any additional packages to the install media that provide new functionality.
I think that as long as there is sufficient interest in including vbados, we can probably do that.
