**I am bringing back a discussion from today's virtual get-together,
about FreeDOS 1.4.

It sounds like there are no blocking issues in FreeDOS 1.4 Release
Candidate 3. (Yay!) So the next monthly test release will be "FreeDOS
1.4" (in other words, we will not have a "FreeDOS 1.4 Release
Candidate 4").

I don't think it's a good idea to have a major release on April 1
(that's "April Fools Day" .. and a lot of websites still do "pranks"
that day) so I propose this release schedule instead:

1. Jerome will release & announce "FreeDOS 1.4" to the "test"
location, probably 4/1. This will otherwise be identified as "FreeDOS
1.4" .. but it just gets published in the "test" directory on Ibiblio:
https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/test/

2. Folks can take the next few days to install it & look for any
last-minute critical blocking issues.

3. If no issues are identified to the email list by the end of Friday
4/4, then on Saturday 4/5 I'll copy the new distribution to the new
official "FreeDOS 1.4" directory on Ibiblio:
https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/1.4/

And at the same time, I'll also remove the RC3 announcement on the
website's front page & on the "Download" page, and update the
"Download" page to say "FreeDOS 1.4":
https://www.freedos.org/download/
