Well, a question of point of view. For me, this all is DOS, the DOS extender of Microsoft, and Windows is what comes behind KRNL386.EXE. After all, the same "Windows" application (KERNEL, USER, GDI) could be written over DOS (32-bit DOS, true), or over the WinNT kernel.

If the Windows file system drivers have taken over, it's not a DOS anymore :-(


We need a new Victor Vlasenko to integrate LFN support in the kernel (Victor wrote FAT32 support).
