I have had an arachne running problem changing the soundcard. I have a 3COM NIC , the connection to the router and everything was running but arachne blocked, i have changed settings and many other things . The only thing to do, was to change the IRQJumper-Setting of the soundcard for an other IRQ ! I have not found any information or documentation about this problem . I think a free IRQ for Arachne and the NIC is very important.
