Freedos.org doesn't appear to have changed. It's simple as such things go.
And it's *not* configured to access it through https, which is
unusual, as the rest of the Internet is rapidly moving in that
direction.
Yes, the FreeDOS website is still plain old http.
I have https on my to-do list, but I get so little "downtime" to myself
that I haven't had an opportunity to sit down and go through the Let's
Encrypt https process, even though it's supposed to be pretty easy.
When I do, though, I imagine we'll still have http available for those that
prefer it.
