Dos doesn't handle fat32 devices by default.  You'll need to load the proper drivers and configure things properly for it to recognize fat32 partitions.

I've not bothered, but I'm sure others on list have done so, but I'm sure you could find the information you need with a quick google search.

I wanted to copy my data file from C: to a FAT32 USB stick. That's plugged into the PC. But D: (etc) gives "Error reading from drive D: data area: drive not ready".

Similarly GEM shows Hard Disk C, an unresponsive Drive A:, and a similarly unresponsive Network Drive D.
