"it works nice, but the 386 memory manager crashes." doesn't make much sense. as a 20+ year DOS user you should know that a) CONFIG.SYS b) AUTOEXEC.BAT C) a more detailed error report of what you are doing and what the error looks like are necessary to even start advising. either a+b+c or simply go away.
