Dear Chris,

It was a bug, it was not planned so. Fixed. The selection text color
must not be used in for not selected text in the edit box.

We can disable this option, but I would like to discuss it a bit more
before. The advantage of using the system colors is a better integration
of FreeMind into the system. If all other programs like MS Word,
Notepad, Explorer etc. use some colors for window backgrounds, window
texts, selected text background and selected text, the FreeMind could
use them too, coudn't it?

And if you see that e.g. explorer colors differ from current FreeMind
colors even after you delete auto.properties, it is a sign of some bug
which still has to be investigated. So I ask you to give me a chance.
Could you please report what differences between Explorer and FreeMind
you see (after next update from CVS).

I use Windows 2000 too and test FreeMind using j2re 1.4.13, j2re
1.5.0_12 and j2re 1.6.0_02.

Many thanks,
Dimitry
