of course that SimplyHTML sources have to be publicly available for
download. They should be available in SimplyHTML's SourceForge project, just
like for any other library or component project there. They DO NOT have to
be part of FreeMind source code distribution.

Do you want to distribute Apache Batik source code with FreeMind? I really
do not understand.

SimplyHTML IS NOT a part of FreeMind. It is a HTML WYSIWYG editing
component. It is one of the possible editing components that can be attached
to FreeMind.
