Also, judging from the recent changes, the newly increased spam seems to be
coming from a single person using several users that have been left without
blocking in December 2008. I have now blocked several of these users. It is
a good practice to block users who are spamming the wiki; only reverting
their changes does not prevent their further spam.
Monitoring pages and blocking spammers and vandals is a usual practice at
wikis, not to be avoided. If the wiki should be less editable and thus
wiki-like, more of the pages can be protected, so that only admins can edit
them.
