Java isn't the fastest, we should acknowledge that Java is controlled by
one company, and not open source. Maybe you should re-evaluate your Java
choice and use GTK/Glib instead, this way you keep the licenses the same
(LGPL). If its just a prototype, thats good, but the primary GUI should
be a GTK+.
