That's actually better, in my opinion. It's dying because something is wrong, and it's not eating all of the CPU time while doing so. The whole problem here is that there is a SEGV somewhere in the server. I don't see it here, and even the bounds checking compiler I use says that the server core and the few modules I tested are OK. From the snippet you posted, it looks like it's starting to authorize the user, and it dies somewhere in there. All i can suggest at this point is to give me an account on the problem machine.
