this questions is perhaps a little bit off-topic, but perhaps someone can give me an answer. I am just pissed of searching google (i searched for hours) and Lucent Documents couldt give me the answer. I am trying to mange callbacks using radius. I am using freeradius Version 0.9.1 on recent Linux 2.4. Authenticating and Accounting works fine if i dial in. But iniciating a callback fails. I am using Mysql to store user-data and i have this in radgroupreply "callback" with the Attributes: Service-Type = Dialout-Framed-User Framed-Protocol = MPP Ascend-Idle-Limit = 300 Ascend-Dialout-Allowed = Dialout-Allowed this in radreply for "test-dialout" these attributes: Ascend-Dial-Number = 324335234 for pseudo-user "route-1" (also tried route-ascend2-1 [ascend2 is the name of the mac]) these attributes: Service-Type = Dialout-Framed-User (should it be "Outbound") Framed-Route = 192.168.100.1/32 192.168.100.1 1 n test-dialout (ips faked) I also have a regular account "test" which is able to login correctly. The Host who should call back is a Pipeline. Calling the Max worked okay. Now i start up the max and radius logs: Tue Dec 23 13:03:17 2003 : Auth: Login OK: [route-1/ascend] (from client rade port 0) Tue Dec 23 13:03:17 2003 : Auth: Login incorrect: [dovbs-1/ascend] (from client rade port 0) Tue Dec 23 13:03:17 2003 : Auth: Login incorrect: [initial-banner/ascend] (from client rade port 0) Tue Dec 23 13:03:17 2003 : Auth: Login incorrect: [route-2/ascend] (from client rade port 0) (more not activated pseudo-users following...) now i ping the IP defined in the Framed-Route Attribute. Log shows this: Tue Dec 23 13:03:55 2003 : Auth: Login OK: [test-dialout/ascend] (from client rade port 0) Tue Dec 23 13:03:56 2003 : Auth: Login OK: [test-dialout/ascend] (from client rade port 0) (tons of this following...). But the call is not iniciated. I am looking in syslog and i am logged in the max with telnet watching the status screens, but nothing !!! What i wrote above was just one try. I tried different attributes, different pseudo-user names, but the call is not iniciated ! Static profiles on the Max seem to work though.
