Only recently, they ran an long article by Stefan Krecher describing an 8021.x/11i-based WLAN setup using FreeRadius as auth backend. Don't know what PC magazine of ZD and others are doing, though ... IMO, FreeRadius is only now beginning to gain momentum in terms of publicity.
