Freeradius was compiled against these versions?  I haven't tried
freeradius with 4.1.x yet...  That's on the horizon..  :)

Default install shouldn't have anything limiting like that, unless
there's something wierd with the binaries from fedora...  Can you make
multiple connections to the database from the command line?

Freeradius probably doesn't crash when the database is non-existant
because it never actually makes the database connections..
