Unfortunately it only tells me that the server sometimes sends us 
something we don't understand. The redirection itself works fine, but 
the redirected connection goes wrong. We don't have sufficient logging 
to see exactly what happened and what the server sent.

Nailing this probably requires a developer connecting with a debugger 
attached and a lot of time and luck :-(

(I assume that you have verified that you really were running on the 
fresh code and libraries - ldd $(which xfreerdp) )
