AFAIK the main reason for the license change was to reach out to companies who were afraid of using and relying on GPL software. I doubt that it matters much to them how confident you are in your claims. You probably don't have much money and you can easily say sorry and stop distributing the code, so nobody will bother to sue you. It is much more relevant for your strategy how confident the companies you mention and their lawyers are. Have you asked them?
