Hi everyone,

AFAIAC, I had a similar experience with serial port redirection which I
was not able to get working (it was also for POS software).

Despite a few attempt, I was not able to use serial port redirection
with 1.0.1. I did set up a workaround at the os level and didn't dig
into this issue further.

If it could work again I'd be glad to test patches for serial port
redirection and report test/failure. Currently I could test it with
epson thermal printer, cash register drawer, cash register top display
and digital door key configuration pad.

Cheers,

Denis
