Score is the win32mci driver attempting to guess the best MIDI output 
device to use. This selection process should be the same for both 
win32mci and win32mci_stream (I think).

Firstly, I would keep using win32mci rather than win32mci_stream for the 
time being (especially when Matt has put in his polled_ss changes) until 
we move over to song iterators. This is because win32mci_stream and 
buff_ss don't really let you play games!

Secondly, if you're getting reports of 0 voices then that's *bad* news. 
That means you probably won't get any sound. That's what's been 
happening, right? You should get sound by using the Microsoft GS 
Wavetable Synth but system performance will suffer. To use this, try 
putting this line in your %WINDIR%\.freesci\config file:
midiout.win32mci.device = 2
Let me know if that works.

I'll have a look at what to do to improve the case of 0 voices.
