Hello List, Today I received a letter from the Defense Export Control Office, an office of the Australian Department of Defense. They have assessed Codec 2 against the prohibited exports and WMD laws and found it "not currently to be of concern", and "does not requires an export license".
This backs up the email I received last month but I feel good to have it in writing. However I will need to keep an eye on this in case the regulations change. I'll touch base with these guys again in another 12 months.
