If you just stay out of compression, all is well. I got to work with a
religious broadcast station on a clear frequency, and the modem was
amazing. He kept reducing the power, and I kept receiving him perfectly,
even though I could no longer see or hear the analog. I suspect it would
work great at 1 watt, if you had your own private 3 kHz :-)
