Indeed / Additionally : IN conversation, I have primed/encouraged David to do some work on input audio processing.
My years of experience with broadcast audio processing fine details suggest there are radical improvements to be got from things as simple as a dual band input AGC + gate, phase rotation, in order to improve codec consistency of performance. And also experience with input processing on the P25 and DMR systems. I have design/ written many systems. Which leads me to : Does anyone out there have any old CRL audio processing broadcast gear in their junkboxes, or know of any sitting in broadcast racks not being used ? Specifically, AGC400, SGC800 vintage. Or, any Aphex gear (preprocessor, not limiters) glen .
