Hi All,
Should I break out a serial port for modbus or canbus, I have a love hate
relationship with can, but it is good at arbitration better than modbus.
The main advantage is that canbus can do 500kbits/s and more.
Modbus is easier to implement even a attiny85 can run it.
Ideas?
I currently have a 75176 and a L9615 on the pcb, but stm was clever in
putting can on pb5 and pb6 and usart1 on pb6 and pb7, that chip designer
surely has a mean streak. both chips will need a level translator
(txb0102), I do not trust the 5V tolerant thing at all, been bitten more
than once with that.
