The "public" source for ARDOP (and ARDOP_2) is in the groups.io group for
develop...@ardop.groups.io .  The last update was in May so it doesn't
have anything from codec2/ofdm.  They must have a more private repository
for ongoing development.

The home page for this group is at https://ardop.groups.io/g/developers where
you can become a member and then see everything.  They let me in long
ago when I was just curious so I'm sure they'd welcome you :-) .  There
is also a users group.

Something the Winmor and ARDOP TNCs have that I think FreeDV could use
is the ability to dynamically change modes as conditions change.  They
start with a simple low bandwidth mode and then shift up or later down
depending on the observed error rates. 

However I think this feature has been the cause of many of the difficulties
and work too so it's not something to be adopted lightly.

For FreeDV something like this could be used for both the codec and the modem.

I think the first small step would be to add something to identify which
modem and codec a data stream was using.
