Hello David,

You can find John G8BPQ's cross platform version of ARDOP here:

I personally use it along side the ARIM client:

Early in my work on HF modems I had some nice emails and useful tips
from Rick Muething, KN6KB, one of the founders of that project.

I recently revisited the ARDOP project and found that the OFDM modem
used for FreeDV 700D had much greater throughput than the current crop
of ARDOP modems. So on June 4 I posted to the ARDOP developers group,
asking if they would like to collaborate on HF Modems.

One of the ARDOP developers, John G8BPQ, posted today:

   https://ardop.groups.io/g/developers/message/451

.... that he had improved the the ARDOP data rate by a factor of 2.5
using parts of the 700D OFDM modem design. It's unclear at this stage
if he has used any actual of the FreeDV OFDM modem source code. Actually
I haven't worked out where the ARDOP code is, or if ARDOP is released
under an open source license.

Still, nice to know FreeDV has helped other projects out, and it shows
that the technology being developed on this project is world class.
