Welcome back and I hope you had a nice vacation :-)

With te wlatest codec2-dev SVN I just followed the stm32/README.cmake
instructions and hit the same problem.

$cmake --version
  cmake version 3.9.1

$ /usr/bin/arm-none-eabi-gcc --version
  arm-none-eabi-gcc (15:5.4.1+svn241155-1) 5.4.1 20160919

$ lsb_release -a
  Distributor ID: Ubuntu
  Description:    Ubuntu 17.10
  Release:        17.10
  Codename:       artful
