Could you please explain where the pain points were?

Another question I've been pondering - do you have any evidence that
anyone is actually using the Fedora FreeDV packages?

The reason I ask is that for some reason we get a lot traffic/requests
from package maintainers ... which translates to a lot of effort. But
the on-air usage numbers of FreeDV are quite low and we know most of
them are Windows users. A proportion of Linux uses (Fedora or
otherwise) will likely build from source in order to obtain the latest.

So I am wondering if the package maintainers outnumber users of the
FreeDV packages they maintain.  I'd like to do a sanity check - make
sure the effort involved is actually helping end users and the FreeDV
project.
