Yeah, that's a good suggestion. It may be some problem with the database
that's not showing up on the screen. If you don't find the problem that
way, the only thing left is to step through code in the screen module. Try
sending the queries to the screen and executing them by hand.
If the item isn't showing up in a department, the most obvious problem would
be that the item is not part of any department. You can verify that your
item has an entry in the "department_item" table.
