Open Sales is part of the idealab! incubator. They have an Open
Source ecomm system that I think is written in Perl.

I suppose you see competition between OpenSales.com and nt2linux.com.
I'm not sure you're in the same space, though. I thought you were
going after small business. OpenSales.com seems to be going after
bigger companies, but I may not have spent enough time reading about
them.

As far as OpenSales.org versus FreeTrade, I don't see it as competition
really, at least not in the sense of two businesses competing for sales.
FreeTrade can't go bankrupt. Development can continue as long as there
are people interested in it.

If OpenSales.com got $10mil, that's great news. That's great validation
for the idea that money can be made with Open Source software.
