Regarding books on HTML:

Well, I don't have any books. But, I have one HTML reference site which has
been indispensable for me. It lists all the HTML elements, which browsers
support them (and which versions) all the parameters, etc. It also lists the
same info for CSS. I really recommend this site, it is an excellent
reference.

Here is a site which has tons of info on CSS. Unfortunately, it is rather
slow. But, still a good reference. The guy is totally gonzo about CSS.
