Actually, the timeshifting shouldn't be too bad; right now, on my machine, Mplayer uses around 45% of the CPU to play television captured at 640x480; to play video captured with mp1e and use mp1e uses around 30% total; so it's actually less intensive to use mp1e. Keep in mind that mp1e is capturing at 320x240, but it's still pretty good, even on a 400mhz machine. > * I want to tell v4l where on the screen the overlay (freevo) window is. I know that Krister wrote, some time ago, a program to do v4l to the mga BES, which was very lightweight. It's probably in the Attic in CVS, and it was controllable through a slave mode, kind of like mplayer. > Does tvtime support overlay mode? It does process the image data, and it requires hardware YUV (which SDL over matroxfb won't do) It's really only useful with X11, though I've tried it with DirectFB... ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Freevo-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freevo-devel
